This opportunity is working for a fantastic company who truly value their children in care as well as their staff The aim’s of the home are to provide a safe haven in which children and young people can learn appropriate life skills and behaviour, which will help them to live fulfilling lives beyond their time and experience in care Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the running of the home Building relationships with children/young people to support them build self-esteem and assist in the development of new techniques to improving their behaviour Coach, mentor and support the child/young person to encourage greater social inclusion To promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each child/young person Implementing strategies such as planned daily activities, coordinated treatment interventions, organised recreational and social activities Promote the development of a healthy lifestyle for the child/young person Monitor that a written individual care plan for each child or young person is implemented Ensure that all relevant workplace legislation are adhered to Be accountable for the monitoring and oversight of all financial activity Interview and appoint or dismiss staff Regularly review staff performance Minimum requirements: NVQ/QCF level 5 in Leadership and Management or a higher equivalent qualification Minimum of 3 years management and supervisory experience gained in a residential setting At least two years’ experience of working with children within the past five years Experience of OFSTED inspections Closing date: ASAP Interview: ASAP Contact: Amandeep at Job Paths 4 U Job Paths 4 U is an Employment Agency and an Employment Business.
