HR GO Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Porter Supervisor for one of our clients in Oxfordshire to join a busy team at one of Oxford's Hospitals. In this role you will lead and manage a team of porters while co-coordinating daily tasks and duties. The Role Duties include but are not limited to; Ensure that all staff personal appearance reflect the professional image of the Trust and client, including the correct wearing of uniform, badges and personal protective equipment. Provide Leadership and direction to staff. Develop good working practices and relationships to support colleagues, patients and ensuring the motivation, discipline, safety and general welfare of the staff under his/her supervision. Assign general and specific portering tasks in accordance with departmental priorities and assisting in the preparation duties and schedules. Monitor and supervise staffs, time keeping, attendance, sickness, annual leaves etc Assist in investigation of incident and complaints of poor performance reporting to the Property Manager. The ideal Candidate You will be assertive, and well organised, and be able to manage a team of 10-15 people supervising and monitoring performance, while liaising and work in co-operation with ward and department staff. You will have the ability to work in a team, and work from own initiative and be sensitive to your surroundings at all times. You will have a 'can-do' attitude to work and be flexible and have the willingness to learn. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to work with a diverse range of people. Location Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LE Hours 37.5 hours per week (10.00am -6.00pm) Pay Rate £12.00-14.00 per hour (depending on experience) on a temp to perm basis. Requirements Previous experience of working within a similar role and management/supervisor experience is essential. Preferably but not essential: NVQ2 2 in support services in Healthcare, Health and Safety Awareness, Knowledge of COSHH and link between cleaning and infection control. Manual Handling Training. CRB/DBS certificate dated within 3 months is required for this role. If you don't have DBS we can obtain one for you, however please note; if you decide not to take the role or leave before completing 5 weeks you will be liable for the cost of DBS Certificate.
