Engineer, Electrical Systems, Space Agency - working on creating a vacuum Key Tasks and Deliverables for Electrical Systems Engineer Submission Deadline 29/06/17 at 15:00 Electrical: Maintain the facility control and acquisition system including modifications to wiring and installation of new systems. Design and build of new test equipment as required to support testing programmes. Installation of new equipment and electrical systems to meet the expanding needs of the group as required. Creation and upkeep of wiring and system diagrams using computerised systems Mechanical: Design of racks and control panels as required meeting the expanding needs of the group. Manufacture of panels and racks to suit new and existing designs Modification of existing systems Assembly of jigs and fixtures as required to support the operations of the group Installation of cryo/vacuum systems related to a 5m diameter vacuum chamber to include thermal shroud panels, LN2 pipework, exhaust flanges Operations: Work within the departments ISO9000 system. Configure the relevant test facilities to meet the customer's needs. Day to day running of the testing (when needed) including extended hours/nights/weekends. Main Duties and Responsibilities for Electrical Systems Engineer To support the delivery of the engineering outputs to enhance capability and reputation and to repair, maintain and/or improve the quality of its products, services and advice to customers. To support the development of work plans, including identification of improvements to systems, capabilities and/or process. To use existing and emerging engineering practice to support the delivery of the work plans, which repair, maintain and/or improve systems and products and provide advice and services for the benefit of customers. To contribute to the generation and presentation of documentation and reports internally and externally in order to meet the needs of the customer, including, maintaining capability, integrity, standards and/or communicating advice and knowledge and/or promoting reputation. To support other team members to improve the effectiveness of the team. To carry out continuing professional development in line with current and future needs. Key Skills and Experience for Electrical Systems Engineer Essential: Apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent, in Engineering or related subject Experience of building and handling electrical systems Experience of designing and documenting electrical systems Experience of specifying and procuring equipment Desirable: HND or, or higher qualification in Engineering Space testing qualification Experience of handling aerospace components Experience of working in cleanrooms Experience of working with vacuum systems Engineer, Electrical Systems, Space Agency - working on creating a vacuum Referral Scheme: If this role isn't for you then perhaps you could recommend a friend or colleague to Haybrook IT.
