An Electrical Wiring Technician is required by a leading Motorsport team to join their Wire Harness Assembly team working on cutting edge F1 cars! Role: Electrical Wiring Technician As Electrical Wiring Technician you will be responsible for: + Responsible for the manufacture of in-house built Electrical and Electronic components, looms and assemblies as required and to the set specification + Provide support to the travelling Electrical Technicians whilst the cars are in the factory on car builds and turn-rounds + Communicate all build issues to the appropriate design function via good communication + To have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of mechanical and electrical technical drawings and the appropriate procedures + Jointly responsible, with the other Electrical Technicians, for the logistical control of workshop materials and tools Experience: As Electrical Wiring Technician you will have experience of: + Experience within Motorsport or Aerospace industry's + Strong wire harness/loom build experience + MIL spec wiring and heat shrink moulded parts + Both PCA and wiring soldering experience, preferred + IPC610 qualified, advantageous. + Experience of electronics assembly builds, small batch builds of Electro/Mechanical assemblies + Experienced in the use Raychem System 25 solutions and other heatshrink products

The Mechanical Engineering Manager will lead and manage the Engineering department of the Mechanical Engineering function to achieve strategic and tactical objectives. Facilitates the Systems Engineering approach to ensure that products and services are engineered to meet; business, customer and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for continuous improvement of the Mechanical Engineering processes to improve departmental performance with an understanding/appreciation of other cross functions inc Electronics/Electrical and Software. Duties will include: + Improving the maturity of the Mechanical Engineering process + Collaborative planning of objectives and accuracy of both resource estimates and cost collection + Ensuring application of design for manufacturing and assembly, design to cost and design failure modes and affects + Customer experience - ensuring customer frustrations are addressed and robust Skills and knowledge needed for the Engineering Manager: + Substantial experience of engineering complex systems ideally in developing electro-mechanical and pressure systems. + A systems thinker with thorough understanding of systems engineering methodologies. + Broad commercial and financial understanding. + Experience in managing personal and professional development of direct reports including conducting appraisals. + Ideally a Charted Engineer (CEng) For more information apply now
