Are you a 2nd Line Support Engineer looking for your next challenge? If the answer if YES then this could be for you. Our client an ECO friendly successful IT Support company based in Bristol are looking to take on an expereinced 2nd Line Support Engineer due to considerable growth. As an Engineer you must display excellent customer facing skills, and will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate technical issues in non-technical terms. You will be responsible for managing your own workload and for assisting junior engineers with theirs. It is a critical part of your role that you can share information and tasks with other engineers and that you keep up-to-date and detailed notes on the work you complete in our clients job management system. You will predominantly be working on the Helpdesk but will be involved in technical projects as required and knowledge fits. You will be responsible for ensuring that our clients customers can keep working and will be required to use your initiative in resolving issues. Please Note this role has a 1pm - 10pm, 5 days a week working pattern at an office in central Bristol (For the right candidate a flexible working location may be possible). Who are we looking for? We need an individual that… Has focus, energy and the desire to always achieve more Wants to produce above average results Is aware of the direction of the company and its values Is always trying to add value Is always trying to improve and wants to take the next step Understands a professional culture is crucial for success Wants to be the best they can be Job Requirements Requirement include: Providing all levels of technical support on Windows based systems and answering support queries via phone, email and helpdesk Working with a projects team as a potential project lead or project engineer whilst being able to follow the project management processes Visiting customer sites to troubleshoot problems that can't be fixed remotely Maintaining a high degree of customer service for all support queries Taking ownership of user problems and being proactive when dealing with user issues Weekend and out-of-hours working will sometimes be necessary Excellent communication skills (telephone and face to face). Being able to communicate in 'plain English' is at least as important as good technical skills Previous experience in second line IT Support The ability to learn new technology quickly - we don't expect you to be an expert now, but we want you to become one quickly! A self-starter who is comfortable working alone or within a team Technical Requirements "Must Have" Requirements 3 years' experience in IT Support Dynamics CRM Online and Dynamics CRM 2011 user support Experience in the following technologies MS Windows 2008 / 2012 / 2016 Server management Hyper V and other virtualization platforms Exchange Server 2007 / 2010 / 2013 management PowerShell scripting Office 365 management Network and firewall infrastructure management and deployment Active Directory and group policy management Monitoring customer servers and performing preventative maintenance Deployment of managed Anti-Virus and Backup solutions Server infrastructure deployment and configuration Cyber security awareness Great organisational and time management skills Demonstrated ability to standardise processes for efficiency and productivity Ability to analyse data, and excellent problem-solving skills Technical Requirements "Desirable" Requirements 5 years experience in IT support Connectwise experience Powershell Experience Microsoft Qualifications Education / Qualifications Degree level or equivalent in IT
