This exciting opportunity for a Press Office Assistant is now available for this leading E-commerce business in Luton. The Press Office Assistant role reports to the Senior UK PR Manager working as part of the wider communications department. The role will include reactively answering press office enquires, managing specific issues, assist in writing and issuing press releases and managing the online press office and press officer twitter account. Your specific duties will include but are not limited to; Be the first point of contact for media enquiries both via the Press Office email and phone line Provide vital administrative support to the UK and European Press Office Comms team including successful processing of press travel requests, assistance with PR launches and management of Communications Diary Drafting press releases, statements and lines to take as required Arrange press launches as required including photo opportunities Sell positive media stories into the media to secure good coverage Management of central press office duties and administration tasks associated with that Support team on implementing plan in the UK and Europe Handle specific media enquiries working closely with internal stakeholders In order to be considered for this role you will ideally have the following skills and/or experience; Previous experience in a PR or similar role within a large, corporate environment. Proven experience of media communications Good organisational and planning skills.
