Job Summary: Working within system sales team, providing technical and commercial proposals for various size opportunities on time ensuring optimum profits are achieved from each contract. The role requires a high degree of flexibility and initiative in order to make sure that customers, both internal and external, receive the highest level of customer experience and that the many and varied demands of the post are prioritised and dealt with efficiently. Above all, the bid engineer will be expected to represent this company in a professional manner - in person, via email and telecommunication. Key Duties & Responsibilities: *Producing bespoke security system designs utilising product portfolio to a pre-defined specification. *Complete technical preparation of bespoke projects, quotes, diagrams, compliance statements validating proposal and material specifics against project requirements. *Compile contract specific reviews prior to the acceptance of a purchase order *Ensure accurate documents/drawings/certificates are compiled and dispatched to client to support the offer. *Engage with all internal stakeholders required for project availability. *Deal with contract variations via adherence to full change control process. *Attend meetings with the customer and take a proactive role in managing day to day issues arising from the project design/commercial discussions. *Ensure proposals are delivered within the required deadline for completion whilst meeting quality, time budget and safety objectives. *To provide the highest level of expertise and escalate technical issues of a more complex or serious nature to the relevant persons. *To be responsible for completing lessons learned to identify and introduce improvements to working processes.
