Cleaner - Heathrow, Heston From £7.83 an hour As one of our Cleaners at our new site near Heathrow Airport, you will be responsible for daily cleaning regimes within our new state of the art Premium Kitchen facility, Bond and Warehouse and Dynamic Logistics Centre. You will be also accountable for maintaining of cleaning hygiene standards, with a strong focus on quality and consistency whilst working to tight deadlines. About the role This Flexi Worker role does not have standard hours of work and you will be required to work at such times and for such periods as may be applicable to each Assignment, including early and late shifts. Whilst on shift you will receive free meals and car parking at the company premises. As a successful Cleaners you must have A flexible and enthusiastic approach to multiple tasks and enjoy working as part of team in a fast moving environment where deadlines are tight to ensure that flights depart on time. You will maintain a clean and safe workstation, work in a manner that promotes good health and safety practices and be prepared to wear any personal protective equipment provided. You should be physically fit and also be willing to undertake common manual handling/bending and reaching as part of your normal duties. If you are successful we will provide you with full training on all our processes and systems. We will carry out a full 5 year background and potentially a criminal records check on all successful applications which can take up to 4 weeks to complete. What the role is: You will be pivotal in supporting the adherence to Food Safety/Health and Safety/Security and HALAL processes within our Glasgow base, also assisting the operations in Edinburgh and Newcastle on a regular basis. The role is fundamental to influencing a positive safety culture and supporting the company in driving continuous improvements around due diligence. What you'll be doing will include: Logging and checking of all internal HACCP and food safety documentation against company standards to ensure compliance. Feeding back to the departmental managers on deviations and ensuring that corrective actions are noted. Updating and maintaining unit Compliance Activity Planners and supplying relevant information for month end reports Maintaining key Compliance information such as Legionella files and Fire Log Book Raising and highlighting any non - conformancies and supporting corrective actions. Maintaining the Training Matrix and training files for the North Region and flagging training requirements to relevant unit management Assisting the team compile the Daily Security Performance report Calibration/ checkingof unit thermometers and Scales Working with Fire Marshals/ compliance team, ensuring that the monthly fire checks are carried out Carrying out monthly temperature checks for Legionella control Performing daily walk rounds focusing on Food Safety/HALAL segregation/behavioural observations Assisting the unit management team with the Quality Control of finished products by carrying out spot checks on flight components to confirm adherence to specification. This will include Chef Tables, Portion Controls, Equipment/ stores checks, bar checks and pick checks What you'll have will include: Required to have Food Safety Level 3 or similar qualification Advantage to have HACCP and IOSH Managing Safely qualification Previous experience of working in Food Manufacturing/ Catering Auditing experience an advantage Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good knowledge of Microsoft office essential Strong organizational skills are essential Ability to give feedback to all levels Flexibility to travel to our sites in Edinburgh and Newcastle when required
