Graduate Business Systems Consultant - IT or similar Degree - Manchester - to £25,000 pa Our client who are a major software solutions provider based in Manchester are looking for a Trainee Graduate Business Systems Consultant to learn and work on their ERP solutions. You will be given full training on their two year training programme and will become a Specialist Services Consultant. You will work with our clients customers to assist with the resolution of complex issues spanning multiple disciplines. The consultant will provide support directly to the customer, typically when a site is experiencing significant issues. In addition you will provide support and back up to the implementation, technical, development and support teams within the company.You will provide in a support capacity, technology and platform guidance across all areas of our clients business, including the customer base. You will be expected to provide technical bulletins and updated documentation based on their experiences on site, including the promotion of new ways of working and best practice.You will highlight areas for improvement and ensure this is fed back into continuous improvement initiatives within the company. You will work in conjunction with the Senior IT Management and Group Finance to provide purchasing assistance for all of the IT related expenditure group wide to effectively record the purchase, track and report against budget spend and control costs within budgetary constraints and deliver timely accurate reporting. You will be responsible for: Purchase management - including quotes, purchase orders and invoice payment / reconciliation. Budgets and commitment recording. Month end and annual accruals. Credit card reconciliations. Contract management - including renewals, T&C reviews and best value evaluations. Supplier management - including service delivery, account meetings, reviews, etc. Asset management - maintain the IT asset list, including hardware, software, contracts, loan equipment, stock checks, etc. Team administration - including meetings, leave, training, travel, accommodation, intranet page management, KPI reporting, delivery and courier management. IT Support - 1st/2nd line - MS Products - AD etc - Cambs - to £30k pa Our international client based in Cambridge is looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to join their expanding IT Services Dept. Key responsibilities : Maintain a professional demeanour and a positive, helpful attitude to customers at all times. Provide high quality technical support to users across a broad range of technologies. Monitor, prioritise and resolve support calls and service requests, liaising directly with users as required. Escalate issues as appropriate to senior IT staff and/or Technical Architects. Develop technical skills in appropriate technologies. Provide out of hours support (if necessary) on a routine rota basis, to cover non-UK time zones and users. Provide out of hours' emergency response (possibly at short notice) in the event of major system outages. Monitor, prioritise and resolve the incoming support calls from staff, liaising with IT colleagues and other staff as required. Complete regular IT "Business as usual" (BAU) operations and checks such as backups and status checks, printer operations, and other reactive or proactive support and maintenance tasks necessary to ensure stability, security and performance of the infrastructure. Ensure all documentation is maintained to the highest standard.
