Security Manager (IT), Sheffield - £40k + benefits We're looking for an IT security manager to join our client, a high-growth, entrepreneurial FinTech business in Sheffield. The Security manager role is a new position within the business, at this crucial stage of their development as an organisation, tasked with designing and implementing frameworks and processes for proactively managing the developing security risk exposure. THE ROLE: Your primary responsibility will focus on Information Security, but the role will also be responsible for managing wider security risks which the business faces. Given the rapid pace of growth the business has been through, the Security Manager will be a key driver of the design, delivery and implementation of information and data security strategies. You will provide objective assurance as to the adequacy and effectiveness of security risk management, control and governance processes by contributing to the delivery of a professional risk-based approach. You will need to coach and develop people throughout the business highlighting best practise. You should have strong knowledge of the digital security landscape coupled with demonstrable hands-on experience, but as important will be your ability to understand the wider business objectives, your ability to influence change at a senior level and embed practical security awareness throughout a developing and growing business. This will be a challenging but rewarding role that provides a great opportunity for a driven individual to influence and drive the security agenda within an exciting and ever-growing technology business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Identifying and assessing key security risks, whilst designing and implementing remedial actions for; Cloud based infrastructure and applications; Network intrusion detection and prevention; Vulnerability management; Email and data security; Mobile device security. Data breach and incident management. Design and implement technical security controls. Assess and mitigate risks across a technically complex supply chain. Implement plans to mitigate security impacts to our people, assets, business operations and company reputation. Horizon scanning of emerging security threats and vulnerabilities. Develop and implement a security strategy and policy. Working throughout the business to develop security awareness, whilst providing practical tools and coaching to ensure adoption of best practise. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Experienced in implementing, or working within a standards-based environment, such as ISO 27001. CISSP, CISM or similar qualification. A minimum of 3 years Information Security experience. Access control and asset protection. Experience of PCI DSS. Emergency planning and crisis management, such as working under formalised Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery frameworks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, being able to confidently advise senior stakeholders. Experience of working within a regulated industry. DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Experience of working within Financial Services. Knowledge of Data Protection Act and the GDPR. Product Manager, Sheffield, £35k + benefits We're looking for a Product manager to join our client, a high-growth, entrepreneurial FinTech business in Sheffield. This is a truly exciting time for this tech business as its is a period of rapid growth and change. They are introducing lots of new features to what they currently offer, and are bringing new products and innovations to market. ROLE This is a role for someone who can make a good product even better. The Product Manager will join the team at a very interesting time, as they're close to some big changes in the interfaces that will introduce a lot of new functionality. This is partly such an exciting role because there isn't a set idea of what a product manager should be. What they are looking for is someone with experience in building, designing, managing and simplifying digital product and service, who can bring their flexibility, creativity and exceptional problem-solving skills to the role. RESPONSIBILITIES Taking ownership of the end-to-end life cycle management of products and services In conjunction with the customer insights team, researching and defining user problems and needs Taking ideas and insights from qualitative and quantitative data and helping turn them into customer solutions Analysis of both behavioural and financial data to inform product direction Mapping the existing services to understand how they operate today, to allow us to build and iterate them better in the future Working with people from across the business to understand internal needs, challenges and constraints to deliver solutions that are realistic Representing the Product team and leading on multiple projects ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Experience of using performance/needs analytics and writing high-level business cases Good understanding of the role of primary research, market analysis, data analytics, qualitative and quantitative research methodologies At least 3-5 years' experience in building customer-facing services Excellent problem-defining skills Ability to understand the bigger picture whilst also breaking that down into small enough pieces to get things started Experience working with digital delivery and development teams A collaborative nature Ability to make considered decisions quickly and with confidence, in a fast-paced environment Delivery and detail focused Commercially minded DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE A Bachelor's degree or equivalent Experience working in financial services Exposure to agile working methods If this role is of interest, please apply using the link or call the office for more info.
