The Business Development Manager will be responsible for sales of the Employee Benefit proposition to either new clients, new services to existing clients from a number on introduction sources including, Aon network, client networking, personal networking or telesales led appointments. About the Role As a Business Development Consultant some of your key responsibilities will include; Accountability for account planning for all prospects and co-ordinate all prospect activity Articulating the sales plan A full understanding and ability to articulate the value delivered by Aon and effectively lead remuneration negotiations Actively building relationships across Aon and exploit cross selling opportunities Effective analysis driven risk financing strategy, including program design and marketing, with prospects to meet their needs where appropriate Managing the sales process Understanding the prospect their industry and their risks Understanding the client need and matching them with Aon Solutions Contributing to the teams sales strategy Effectively using Salesforce.com to manage pipeline and opportunities Developing and maintaining effective prospect relationships using best practice sales techniques Accountability for adherences to business processes, systems and procedures Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company Key strengths. Proven record in sales environment in the Employee Benefits arena, selling DC advisory services, Healthcare, Risk consulting and / or broking experience. Online sales experience. Strong negotiation skills, with a proven record in employee benefit sales environment. We will require enthusiastic team player with strong relationship and empathy building skills who is capable of selling reasons for change / plans to a diverse range of relationships. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Strong interpersonal skills - able to communicate well across organisational levels, particularly and C-suite and Senior Reward or Human Resource managerial levels. Well-developed influencing skills and the ability to achieve success through others, with self-discipline and organised. Commercial understanding of business i.e. market forces, business drivers etc. A thorough understanding of different sales processes and methodologies. A thorough understanding of marketing and the value marketing can add to client propositions. Thorough understanding of client business and risk issues. About you As a Business Development Consultant your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Experience within Employee Benefits, with focus on client relationships and business development.
