A Building Control Surveyor/ inspector for various areas nationally (BCS) is required within this growing national UK company, as a building control surveyor. Inspector you may have you will need to hold professional qualifications such as RICS or CABE 1.THE MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE BUILDING SURVEYORS ROLE IS TO:  1.1 To undertake duties in building control inspections with regard to the current UK Building control Regulations, relevant legislation, guidance and codes of practice on large government projects.  1.2 To manage a portfolio of projects.  1.3 To aid and support to the Building Control Team in all aspects of the office and site environment. THE MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS BUILDING CONTROL SURVEYORS POSITION IS TO: 2.1 Asses a selection of Building Regulations applications to ascertain their compliance with relevant legislation, guidance and codes of practice.  2.2 Perform a range of site inspections to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations.  2.3 Make accurate, comprehensive and timely records.  2.4 Research, develop and provide appropriate technical advice and guidance regarding matters associated with all relevant legislation, guidance and codes of practice, for both internal and external clients.  2.5 To recognise the need for and effectively seek guidance and assistance whenever necessary.  General: 2.6 Provide appropriate support to the building control team as necessary.  2.7 To conduct oneself in such a manner as to promote the building control service.  2.8 To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time within the competence of the post holder, as directed by the location Manager.  2.9 To comply with those functions outlined in the Quality Manual for Approved Inspector Services and site inspection, i.e. Initial and Final Notices, etc.  2.10 To communicate effectively (verbally, writing, electronically) to meet the job purpose.  2.11 Ensure records and filing are maintained to ensure the company’s Quality Procedures, service levels and contractual requirements are being met.  2.12 Maintain a positive team environment to promote the overall interests of the company without regard to sectional or divisional boundaries.  2.13 To ensure that when entering site, all regulations, particularly with regard to Health & Safety are strictly adhered to and that all protective/safety equipment is fully utilised.  2.14 To operate within the company’s terms & conditions, policies and quality assurance system WHATS ON OFFER TO THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: Competitive Salary Contractual performance-based Bonus Scheme, as agreed with Line Manager Company Car or Private Car Allowance (BCS is Grade 1, PM and SPM Grade 2) This may all change beginning 2020 1 paid membership subscription (for those maintaining RICS or CABE) Auto-enrolment pension fund (currently 5% personal and 3% company contribution) Life Assurance to twice annual salary upon death to nominated person 25 basic annual leave plus bank holidays Bonus Leave Days Loyalty Scheme Annual Training Conference, with dinner and overnight stay.
