Sous Chef - Jersey - 4 Star Hotel - £34000 Platinum Recruitment are working in partnership with a popular family orientated hotel on Jersey in the Channel Islands and we have a really interesting opportunity for a Sous Chef to join their team. This hotel features self catering accommodation as well as more formal rooms and is aimed firmly at the upper end of the growing family market coming to Jersey each year The hotel is privately owned and has an enviable reputation for service and great food in its restaurant. The hotel owners understand that the chefs, back of house, front of house staff and management are vital in order to ensuring the highest standards and they reward all staff in line with their duties. As mentioned above, the hotel management really make a point of letting you know how much you are appreciated and this includes this above average benefits package which includes - Overtime Accommodation - Live in - Staff accommodation £60.00 per week. Holiday Allowance - 4 weeks. Training & personal development - Any relevant courses to your development and in the interests of the business will be fully funded by the company. Evening classes through Highlands College or online training. Company standard training will be - Food Safety level 3, Fire Safety, First Aid, Health & Safety, COSSH. Uniform Allowance - Chefs Jackets, trousers, aprons, safety shoes - Provided by the company. Team Member Referral Scheme - Introduction & commencement of a team member - £500.00 per person introduction fee to be awarded on completion of 6 months in the business. Direct Family Accommodation Benefit - 7 days of hosted accommodation for Mother & Father. Complimentary bed and breakfast, hotel bedroom or self-catering cottage, subject to availability, October - April. Share of Hotel general gratuities, Share or Restaurant gratuities, Package £34000 + What's involved? This kitchen needs a strong Sous Chef to work closely with the Head Chef and management to ensure quality and consistency. Ideally you will have creativity and organisational skills in abundance as these will be called upon in management of the kitchen brigade If you have experience in a 4 star hotel and are interested in improving not only the dishes you cook but your own ability, then you will fit right in here.
