Job Description

Our client, a professional services and finance business is looking to recruit for a PR Manager to join the Marketing department based in Brighton. This role will be responsible for supporting the digital performance and optimisation manager in executing and creating activities across the group. All the communications will be supported to strategic objectives and brand values of the business. You will also have the task for consumer and trade media relations, specifically product related, but overall you will be assisting in the business growth plans. Key Responsibilities: * Monitor, organize, and evaluate media coverage. * Work alongside the commercial team in helping to create opportunities for products and services, help to develop and lead media relations activity and support on campaigns, events and relationships. * Communicate and liaise with the sales team in securing product case studies that can be used in the media. * Support and manage social channel content (both proactive and reactive) alongside Digital Content Manager. * Create content and assets that are relevant and impactful in relation to the business, products and brand. * Retaining, building and overseeing calendars of key messages to ensure relevant and timely delivery of communications, as per SLAs. * Support control around media relations budget. * Work alongside the digital team to input and inform line content. * Work closely with the group senior managers and executives, in ensuing that the communications strategy and activities support the business objectives. * Create and implement the PR communications plan. * Help manage any issues that occur according to best practice, to secure the best outcome for the business is reached. * Design and execute corporate external communication processes and activities against SLA’s and effective targets. * Manage alignment of all communications with brand values and messaging. * Create, build and maintain relationships across key stakeholders of the business and external influencers to support increased reputation, for both on and offline. * Assist in creating social posts relating to all media activity. Skills and Experience Required: * Recent and relevant experience within a similar environment. * Excellent understanding of communications. * Good judgement and business awareness. * Confident in dealing with the media and agencies. * Experience and knowledge of having the ability to sell in a story to the media and build relationships with journalists. * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with good attention to detail. * Capable to understand customer insight to advise and grow PR activity. * Ability to work well under pressure. * Background in campaign management, analysis and documentation skills.
