An outstanding job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Charge Nurse to join an exceptional hospital based in the Nottinghamshire area. As a Charge Nurse you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
This special hospital provides low secure, high dependency rehabilitation and recovery services for women with mental illnesses and personality disorders. They work with women who are stepping down from secure services, or stepping up from community or other inpatient rehabilitation care, to help them to recover and develop important life skills needed to reintegrate into the community, where possible.
As a Charge Nurse your day to day duties include:
Being a clear leader for the nursing team on the ward and managing shifts
Deputising for the Ward Manager providing cover and assisting with the day to day management of the ward and team
Providing high quality care and leading by example to junior staff
Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement
Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
Contributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress
Mentoring, supporting and supervising student nurses and other members of the team
Promoting professional development within the team
Carrying out sit coordination duties when required
An ideal Charge Nurse must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
The ability to assess and teach junior staff
A proven ability to co-ordinate care, prioritise tasks and manage Health & Safety issues
The drive to learn and develop
A commitment to patient-centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practice
Able to show a can-do attitude always
The successful Charge Nurse will receive an excellent annual salary of £36,484. This exciting position is a Full Time position for 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
