Job Description

Key Responsibilities:  Support the Reconciliations team in producing accurate and timely monthly and year end financial reconciliations ensuring the related financial controls are robust.  Ensure that all Balance Sheet accounts are fully understood, reconciled each month and are formally supported by independent data sources.  Analyse and interpret data to provide robust and accurate management information to business wide colleagues.  End to end review and improvement of all owned processes, including testing and implementation of systems where appropriate.  Lead and direct meetings with key stakeholders where relevant.  Ensure financial controls are robust and are delivered at all times  Design and implement processes to verify balances within balance sheet reconciliations and take proactive action to resolve complex reconciliation issues  Contribute to projects to deliver continuous improvement in the delivery of financial operations.  Support, mentor and coach wider Reconciliations team as a subject matter expert. Key Outcomes:  Up to date financial reconciliations with actions identified for reconciling items.  All necessary work is completed on time in preparation for budgets, audit, month ends and quarter ends.  Assistance is provided in the development of business systems and process change.  A clear understanding of impact of own area(s) of responsibility on wider business processes.  Training and support provided to operational staff where appropriate. Essential:  Solid knowledge of fundamental accounting principles.  Experience in complex balance sheet reconciliations.  Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.  Excellent oral and written communications.  Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Proven customer service experience.  Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours. Desirable:  Experience of using Oracle Financials or equivalent ERP system.  Proven experience of project management. These are the requirements for roles at Grade D. There may be certain headings against which the requirements of individual roles are higher or lower. Your manager will advise if this is the case. Qualifications Essential:  Newly qualified CCAB or CIMA accountant. Other Driving Licence Required- No Mobile working required-Some Evening and weekend working required- Some
