An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Health Visitor to work for one of UK's leading health care providers based in Billericay, the South Essex region.
The provision of a high quality and effective community based public health nursing service to children and families. The service reflects the needs of the local population and is delivered within a designated area of a locality of the provider.
As a Health Visitor your day to day duties include:
Plans, develops, implements and evaluates programmes and works effectively with a wide range of diverse people to identify their concerns about health and wellbeing and the target groups for any programmes using appropriate tools (e.g. Family Health Needs Assessment Tools; Common Assessment Framework)
Involves clients and service users in shared decision making and obtains their consent
Responsible for referring children and young people to other disciplines and outside agencies.
To attend annual Safeguarding Children training
To participate in regular safeguarding supervision.
Will provide reports for Case Conferences and core group meetings in line with the Essex Safeguarding Children Board.
To prescribe as appropriate from the Nurse prescribers formulary
An ideal Health Visitor must have these skills and experiences as they are beneficial for this position:
Have the ability to vary your communication style in order to relate to children / families effectively
Have a ‘can-do’ attitude always
Qualified as a RGN or Midwife along with Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) qualification
