A superb opportunity has arisen to be the Restaurant Manager within one of London’s well-established, highly prestigious exclusive Members' Club. The position is permanent.
Whilst this is an established location, for a very traditional membership, the expectations are second to none and the position will allow a passionate Restaurant Manager to really excel.
As Restaurant Manager you will join a thoroughly professional and dedicated team delivering an exemplary service to its members making sure that the link between the food, the beverage and the members remains exemplary.
You will also need the ability to guide members with your sound and thorough knowledge towards their culinary and beverage questions. You are the charm, the co-ordinator and the mentor within the restaurant to whom the members seek council and the team look to for direction – the link pin.
The members will relish your presence but not notice the juggling you carry out behind the scenes in order to make sure that the restaurant works consistently without any glitches. You will be the friendly guide whilst they, the members, delight in your well drilled bastion.
The position of Restaurant Manager has become available due to the previous member moving on with their own career development. The position comes with an annual Chairman’s bonus to reflect of the commitment and involvement of the team. Other perks include free meals whilst on duty.
Key Features of the Role:
The restaurant is committed to providing exceptional hospitality and this vacancy represents a fantastic opportunity for a Restaurant Manager to enhance their individual skills and knowledge and to be part of a really friendly team.
You will report directly to the F&B Operations Manager running a service that is open for: breakfast, lunch and dinner; 7 days a week. You will be on duty 5 out of 7 days within a restaurant that serves a range of plated modern British cuisines.
As the Restaurant Manager you will be: the welcoming face to whom all confide, the juggler making sure that the slick process continues without a hitch, the confidant who retains a wealth of culinary expertise and the vintner with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the restaurant’s wines and other beverages.
You will support the F&B Operations Manager ensuring that the guests’ experience is the very the best service each and every time they visit.
You will manage enquiries, reservations, pre-orders, group bookings, allergy requirements amongst other options.
As the Restaurant Manager you will organise the team, create and manage table plans and make sure that the stock is accountable and available. As the principal manager you will cash up daily coupled with other end of day routines.
Above all you will look after the members whilst they are in your care and deal with any concerns that may arise.
Knowledge and Skills:
As Restaurant Manager you will need sound experience of working within a food and beverage outlet together with a passion for customer excellence.
Knowledge of wines would be a distinct advantage. Cocktail and other beverage experience would very useful.
You should have a passion for producing the perfect customer experience every time and have an eagerness to work and lead a team in a challenging environment with the ability to praise those team members when a job is well done - leadership.
You will need to be able to communicate to both staff and members, whilst being thoroughly organised and able to plan ahead.
Other duties will include some financial understanding and of controlling of costs and stock levels. An excellent knowledge of hygiene with health and safety is a must.
Flexibility and stamina to maintain efficiency during hectic spells of business whilst not neglecting any of your high standards. Reliable, hardworking, trustworthy and passionate this is your domain and will reflect your persona.
What’s on Offer:
Salary: £26,000 within a 40 hours per week working 5 out of 7 days. In addition you have a minimum of 20 days holiday plus bank and public holidays, life insurance; pension scheme; free meals on duty; uniforms. Christmas closure.
There is also a bonus payable at Christmas time.
