I'm working with a leading medical and scientific device manufacturer who are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer on an initial 6-month contract basis, to be based in High Wycombe. Rates are open to negotiation based on candidate skillset and situation, and there will be a face-to-face interview with a view of the right candidate starting in January.
Your main responsibilities will be to review and measure current manufacturing processes, identify waste, opportunities for improvement and agree improvement targets. As well as this you’ll also be promoting continuous improvement and ensuring that New Product Introductions (NPI) are implemented effectively. You’ll also be establishing and implementing six sigma standards throughout the manufacturing facility.
To be considered for this role you should have previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a production background. You’ll also need to have experience with six sigma and have a strong knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement as well as a knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems. You’ll also need to have previous experience with problem solving and corrective action, as well as this experience with electronics and or box building or PCB’s your application will be of interest.
