The London North Eastern and East Midlands Route (LNE&EM) runs from the Scottish Borders to London Kings Cross / St Pancras, connecting major towns and cities in the North, North East and Midlands. Our route covers key lines for commuter, cross-country and long-distance travel both north-south and east-west for both passenger and freight service. Passenger numbers are growing rapidly across the route and are expected to increase by 30 per cent by 2023. Ongoing work on the route to boost network capacity includes junction improvements, additional track, and train lengthening schemes, all as part of the national Railway Upgrade Plan. Brief Description As HR Business Partner Support, you will provide dedicated, professional support to the HRBP team and line managers to enable the delivery of the strategic People Plan. You will assist with the roll out of a variety of HR initiatives and you will be a key point of contact for your business area. Please note that there are 5 positions available, one each in Bedford, Derby, Leeds, Peterborough & Sheffield. About the role Key Accountabilities Providing support to both HRBP and line managers to deliver HR initiatives including; performance and talent management, and employee engagement whilst maintaining and providing accurate data to support this activity. Offer advice, coaching and up-skilling on a wide range of HR policies and procedures to People Managers, including ER resolution and absence management. Supporting Organisational Change programmes through the full development and implementation phases. Providing project management support by tracking, measuring and communicating through project timelines. Supporting the HRBP team with ad hoc administrative and operational HR activity, including research, production of reports and data analysis Working with the broader HR function, including centres of expertise, our external case management teams and our shared service centre to provide excellent support to the line managers. Working with appropriate Trade Union representatives to deliver business solutions. Maintaining up to date professional HR knowledge to input into the development of both operational and HR initiatives. Do you have? Proven experience as an HR Generalist Experience in supporting Employee Relations issues such as absence management, grievances and disciplines. Experience working within a complex and dynamic organisation Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with experience in establishing strong working relationships Strong written and verbal communication with fantastic attention to detail Strong time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines Organization, prioritization and facilitation skills Research and analytical skills Are you?
