We are a specialist supplier of ICT resource to the public sector, local authority & social housing sectors and are currently sourcing exclusively for an exciting opportunity as a Senior Consultant with a rapidly expanding IT consultancy. The purpose of the role will be to assist social landlords and local authorities to maximise the performance of their resources and to achieve their corporate objectives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include strategic business planning, service reviews, requirement scoping, roadmap creation, IT health checks, system reviews & specifications, organisational controls & structures and the creation of OJEU tender documentation for systems procurement. You will so provide advice on project governance/management, system procurement, performance improvement, business analysis and business process re-engineering whilst identifying further opportunities for the business to assist their customers. Essential A background within a strategic Housing or IT function with the ability to operate and influence at an Executive level. Extensive of experience of the Social Housing landscape, including trends, issues faced and systems utilised. Previous experience carrying out full life cycle IT systems procurement and knowledge of public sector tendering frameworks such as OJEU. A wide experience of business processes within Social Housing, as well as Business Analysis & Business Process Re-engineering experience. Desirable Hands on experience of having working at operational and management levels with a housing organisation or local authority would be of value as this will add real depth to understanding the business environments in which you will be working. Experience with a Social Housing Management System (Such as Northgate Housing, Orchard Housing, Aareon QL, Civica Cx/Universal Housing, Capita Academy/OPENHousing, Kypera Housing, MIS ActiveH, etc), &/or experience of Public Sector specific Repairs, Mobile Working and Asset Management Systems. Experience of Infrastructure & Networking technologies PRINCE2, LEAN &/or Agile methodology experience As an individual you will be self-motivated, project & deadline driven, able to work under your own steam. You will also be organised and an excellent, engaging communicator with excellent written capabilities, who is customer facing, credible, knowledgeable, influential and able to converse with customers at all levels. You will also be happy to travel to customer sites as required. This role is home based and will entail time spent travelling and visiting customers around the UK proving consultancy. This will require overnight stays between 1 and 3 days per week depending on demand. The rest of your time will be spent working from home. All travelling costs and accommodation are paid for by the company.
